Terms and Conditions

Safety and Logistics

Motorcycle riding is an activity that inherently carries risk, including accidents, injury, and even death. When you ride, you are responsible for your own safety 100% of the time. To minimize risk, Panoramic Moto Tours LLC takes extra care and safety precautions. These precautions are reviewed at the beginning of the tour, and all riders agree to abide and follow them.

Riding Gear

All riders will be required to wear at least the following gear:

  • DOT approved helmet (¾ face or full face)
  • Long sleeve motorcycle jacket reinforced with abrasion resistant leather, Cordura, or Kevlar at the impact points
  • Motorcycle pants reinforced with abrasion resistant leather, Cordura or Kevlar at the impact points. (Jeans with leather chaps not recommended but accepted)
  • Properly fitting gloves (many riders bring two: one ventilated pair for warm weather, another warmer pair for cold weather)
  • Motorcycle riding boots, or over the ankle leather work boots (no sneakers or high tops)
  • Helmet shield always down, or protective (impact proof) glasses or goggles

License and Endorsement

All riders are required to have a valid driver’s license with a current motorcycle endorsement.

Traffic Fines

Any traffic fines or parking tickets are the sole responsibility of the rider.

Luggage/Gear

Riders will carry their own luggage and safety gear on their own bike. Panoramic Moto Tours will include a list of suggested packing tips and minimal safety gear to include.

Alcohol

An alcoholic drink at the end of a day’s ride is enjoyable to many. We ask riders to limit themselves to one or two drinks. Consuming too much alcohol the night before a ride, or drinking any amount of alcohol during a ride, is prohibited and is reasonable cause to terminate the remaining portion of your tour.

Riding under the influence of alcohol is absolutely prohibited by Panoramic Moto Tours, and is unwise in any form of motorcycle riding. We reserve the right to determine if a rider is safely able to ride.

Minimum Age Requirement

All participants (riders) must be at least 21 years of age minimum. Backseat passengers are allowed, however backseat passengers under 18 must have legal parental or guardian permission.

Rentals

Panoramic Moto Tours does not rent motorcycles. All participants will be riding their own motorcycle, or can rent from a qualified motorcycle rental company (Eagle Rider, or similar).

Bookings, Terminations and Refunds

Registration and Payment

Verbal or email inquiry does not confirm availability or participation in a tour. Registration is confirmed after availability has been verified and the tour deposit is paid. If there is space available and a tour is booked less than 90 days before the departure date, the full tour balance will be due at the time of booking. (see “refunds” below)

Tours require a 30% non-refundable deposit at the time of booking, and the balance is due 90 days prior to departure date.

Sales Tax

There is no sales tax on tours originating in Oregon, but it may apply to tours originating in California.

Termination or Cancelation

Panoramic Moto Tours LLC reserves the right to cancel and or terminate a customer’s tour at any point if they are acting in a manner that is disruptive to the group tour, or riding in a manner that is unsafe to themselves or others. No refunds will be given in such cases.
In the case of wildfires, storms, earthquakes, or extreme weather conditions, Panoramic Moto Tours reserves the right to adjust the tour itinerary or route, and even cancel part of all of the trip if necessary.

Refunds

Unless otherwise specified below, all funds paid towards participation in a tour are nonrefundable. We highly encourage you to protect your deposit and balance as well as other travel plans by considering trip interruption and travel insurance through a third party or your credit card company. Panoramic Moto Tours is not responsible for a participants inability to attend a tour due to any circumstance, be it personal, health, family or weather related.

If a tour is canceled by Panoramic Moto Tours ahead of the scheduled departure date due to a lack of minimal participation, all deposits and balance payments are 100% refundable, or transferable to a future tour.

If a cancellation is initiated by the participant and sent by email at least 90 days before the tour departure date, the participant will receive a full refund, including deposit.

If a cancellation is initiated by the participant and sent by email between 60-90 days before the tour departure date, the participant will receive a refund of all funds paid above the deposit. The deposit will be held as a credit to be used toward future tours with Panoramic Moto Tours. This credit expires 24 months after the date on which it is issued.

If a cancellation is initiated by the participant and sent by email between 30-60 days before the tour departure date, the participant will forfeit their deposit as a cancellation fee. All funds paid above the deposit amount will be held on their account as a credit which can be used towards future tours with Panoramic Moto Tours. This credit expires 24 months after the date on which it is issued.

If a participant cancels their trip less than 30 days before the departure date, the participant will forfeit all funds paid as a cancellation fee.

Motorcycle Condition and Mechanical Breakdowns

Participants are responsible to have their motorcycle serviced and in good working order for the trip. Tires must have adequate tread. On a tour longer than 3,000 miles, it is essential that this service has been recently performed. If we feel your motorcycle is not in safe and reliable working condition for the nature and length of a tour, we reserve the right to cancel your participation on a tour.

Panoramic Moto Tours is not responsible for the mechanical failure or breakdown of a participant’s motorcycle. While reasonable effort will be made to safely repair, or coordinate the towing of a participant’s bike to a repair shop, we are not responsible for the towing costs or service and repair cost, as well as incurred lodging during the repair. Depending on the nature and time it takes to repair a bike, the participant in most cases will forfeit the rest of the tour and stay with their bike. We reserve the right to determine when a participant must forfeit the remaining tour after a mechanical breakdown. We remind all participant’s to consider purchasing their own appropriate travel insurance to help cover their costs or losses in such a case.
