I started Panoramic Moto Tours because of my desire to connect with others and share the joy of exploring the beautiful northwest from the seat of a motorcycle.
My brother, Aaron, and I first learned to ride a motorbike in the 5 th grade. It was our friend’s Honda XR75. From the first roll of the throttle I was hooked! I enjoyed dirt biking and then street riding my little Suzuki GS 450 until my early 20s.
Growing up I was fortunate to have family and other mentors that fed into my life, giving me direction and purpose. In my early career, I worked in youth ministry for several years and then served as the pastor of First Presbyterian Church in Gridley, California for ten years. Myself, my wife, Kristin, and our two kids moved to Southern Oregon in 2007. In Oregon, I have worked as a marriage and life coach since 2009.
Kristin was a three-sport college athlete who, like me, also loved the outdoors. We met on a blind date and were married in 1997. Kristin spent her early career in elementary education teaching students with learning disabilities.
Together, we have enjoyed raising our two – now adult – children. It was Kristin’s desire to connect with our son, Jake, that led her to get out and try dirt biking at the age of 43 – go Kristin! Since then, she has taken the Team Oregon training program and completed a Reg Pridemore CLASS at Sonoma Raceway, and Rich Oliver’s School of Mystery riding program. On the creative side, Kristin has written a children’s book titled “I Wish I Were An Animal” and also loves to sing, with a particular flair for Broadway songs. She has recorded two original songs, titled “Show Me the Way” and “He Calls Me Out”. You can enjoy her original songs on her website.
In 2012, I went through the Team Oregon motorcycle training program, which renewed my love for riding. Since then, I have ridden thousands of miles – all while discovering the great roads of Oregon, Northern California, Idaho, and beyond. On any given day, you can find me with Butler Maps open on the table, dreaming about and planning another trip.
Aaron is an excellent rider who’s been around motorcycles for most of his adult life. Panoramic Moto Tours is fortunate to have him as one of our affiliate guides.
Aaron has served as a firefighter and paramedic in Brisbane, California for more than 25 years. He and his family have lived in the beautiful foothills of Grass Valley, where he has been an assistant wrestling coach and ropes course team-building leader. For the last decade, Aaron has also been a passionate supporter, mechanic, and coach for his son, Enzo, who has raced nationally in speedway and motocross.
Aaron also has a small business called Moto Mentoring, where he coaches parents and teaches mechanic skills for those entering the world of motocross. If you get a chance, ask Aaron about several of his invention ideas, as he is always thinking of better ways to do something!
